Inter-Religious Festival with Vocal Group Entertainment for Children 2022 Concludes

On December 7, 2022, the Timor-Leste Religious Tourism Association (ATR-TL) in collaboration with the Civil Society Support Service and Social Audit (SASCAS) under the Office of the Prime Minister of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, held the Grand Final Competition of the Inter-Religious Festival featuring Vocal Group Entertainment for Children 2022.

Objectives:

  1. To promote the Inter-Religious Festival with entertainment at the national level and to prepare for international events in the future.
  2. To showcase children’s talents in music, enabling them to become professionals in the future.
  3. To provide opportunities for children to continue developing their talents in vocal groups.
  4. To foster trust, unity, and human fraternity amidst cultural, racial, and ethnic diversity.
  5. To instill a spirit of nationalism during the celebrations of National Youth Day on November 12 and the Proclamation of Independence on November 28.

The program was announced to the public on October 29, 2022, by the Promotion and Marketing Unit team via the ATR-TL Facebook page. Following the selection of documents submitted to the organizing committee, the competition moved to the Eliminatory Audition phase, where 10 groups competed. Consequently, the Timor-Leste Religious Tourism Association (ATR-TL) moved forward to the Grand Final stage, featuring the Top 6 competitors, which took place on December 7, 2022, at the Multifunctional Hall of Hosana Church.

The event saw participation from Vice Minister of Community Tourism, Ms. Inacia Texeira; Vice President of ATR-TL representing Protestants, Pastor Lorenço dos Santos; Vice President of ATR-TL representing Catholics, Ms. Guilerminha Marçal; Executive Director of ATR-TL, Dr. Manuel Vong; ATR-TL staff; representatives from 5 religious leaders; and enthusiastic participation from teachers, families, and the public present at the venue.

Winners of the Inter-Religious Festival with Vocal Group Entertainment for Children 2022: 1st Place – Sagrado Coração de Jesus School, Becora (3rd Cycle) 2nd Place – Três Pastorinhos (Immaculate Conception Parish, Balide) 3rd Place – EBC, Esperança da Patria, Becora 4th Place – EBC São Vicente de Paulo, Tuti-Bebonuk 5th Place – EBC Marcelo 02, Comoro 6th Place – EB, 1st and 2nd Cycle Cadson Villa Beto, Madohi Anin Fuik
