Nukleu Annur Empowers Local Economy with Halal Tourism in Dili

Kampu Alor, Dili — The Nukleu Annur group is making a meaningful impact in promoting inclusive and community-based tourism in Timor-Leste’s capital. With 15 committed members, the group is working together to strengthen the local economy through small businesses and halal-friendly tourism services.
Under the leadership of President Nur Baiti Pereira, Nukleu Annur operates a halal restaurant, kiosk, and souvenir shop, providing both locals and visitors with authentic products that reflect the group’s cultural and religious values.
Starting with $1,000 in initial support, the group has successfully established a solid foundation and built up $1,000 in assets. Their workplace is now fully prepared, ready to serve the growing number of tourists and residents seeking quality local products in a respectful and welcoming environment.
President Nur Baiti Pereira shared her vision of building a stronger, faith-driven business community in Dili:
“We believe that with honesty, cooperation, and faith, we can build opportunities that benefit both our families and our city,” she said.
With passion and dedication, Nukleu Annur stands as a shining example of how small community groups can lead the way in developing halal tourism and inclusive entrepreneurship in Timor-Leste.
